Day 01 / Jaipur
Arrive Jaipur. Transfer to your
hotel. Later start to visit the City Palace, an overwhelming complex of
exquisite palaces, gardens and courtyards. Visit the palace museum
that houses collections of rare manuscripts, armory, costumes, carpets
and miniature paintings. Walk to the adjacent Jantarmantar an
astronomical observatory built in 17th century. Lastly you will drive
past the Hawa Mahal, a Palace of winds. Night stay in Jaipur.
Day 02 / Jaipur
After breakfast, drive just outside the Jaipur city
to visit the Amer fort an ancient capital of Jaipur, you will see
magnificent palaces with walls covered with mirrored mosaics. Rest
of the day is at leisure for shopping and own activities, Night stay
in Jaipur.
Day 03 / Jaipur – Bikaner
After breakfast, drive to the imposing walled city
of Bikaner (321 kms/7 – 8 hrs), Later you will visit the unusual
Junagarh Fort; unlike all the major forts of Rajasthan, which are on
hilltops, this one was built on the desert plains itself , lastly visit
the National Camel Breeding Farm and see the incredible sight of a
herd of camels returning back after grazing, with the spectacular
desert sunset in the background. Night stay in Bikaner.
Day 04 / Bikaner – Jaisalmer
After breakfast, drive to Deshnok, to visit the
Karni Mata Mandir. Later drive to the desert town of Jaisalmer (332
kms/7 – 8 hrs). Evening at leisure. Night stay in Jaisalmer.
Day 05 / Jaisalmer
After breakfast, visit to the Jaisalmer fort, only
fort in India which has a population of thousand people living within
its walls, later visit to the countless havelis spread across Jaisalmer
which are reputed as the city’s real showpieces. Late evening you will
visit the Sand Dunes to witness a spectacular sunset over the sand
dunes, Night stay in Jaisalmer.
Day 06 / Jaisalmer – Jodhpur
After breakfast, drive to the Blue city of Jodhpur
(285 kms/6-7 hrs). Later start to visit the imposing Mehrangarh
fort, the Jaswant Thada, the royal cenotaphs in white marble
built in 1899 AD in memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh, Night stay in
Jodhpur.
Day 07 / Jodhpur - Udaipur
After breakfast, drive to Udaipur (259 kms/6 hrs)
enroute stopping at Ranakpur, a famous Jain pilgrimage destination known
for its exquisitely carved Jain temples and most famous hall of 1444
pillars. Later this evening enjoy the picturesque lake Pichola set on
the backdrop of Aravali hills, Night stay in Udaipur.
Day 08 / Depart Udaipur
After breakfast, proceed for a sightseeing tour of
Udaipur visit to the City palace and museum, proceed to Jagdish temple
and lastly visit the Sahelion Ki Bari “Gardens of the Maidens”. Later
this evening you will be transferred to airport/railway station for
your onward journey.
